I must admit that I love the cast and crew choices. Tobey and Kirsten are both excellent performers. I'm a little nervous about Sam directing (did any of you see Darkman?), but if he's as big a fan as most of us, he should do well.

What I really wanted to give kudos for is the choice of Danny Elfman for the scoring! I absolutely love his work (especially on a Tim Burton film!). There is nothing quite like the lights going down and an Elfman soundtrack starting up. Let's give a big round of applause to whomever made that choice! Thank you!!!

This movie should be good. Sam Raimi is one of the best director's out there and if you don't like him thats your problem.
quote:
Remember I am also a avid screenwriter and film maker. [/quote]My Website (http://maulbeckm.freeyellow.com)

I totally agree with putting Techno in the movie as well as the movie soundtrack, but maybe they could use Industrial for the fight scenes and slower more emotional songs for the more emotional scenes in the movie.

I say get Joe Satriani to team up with Danny Elfman (sp?). That's THE perfect mix right there.

That would be cool! but I assume that they will play techno music, cause it was played during the trailer, I think your idea would be really, really cool though, Chinaman!

Just put in Joe too! If you listen to his last two albums (not including his recent live album) he's getting pretty **** good at blending rock and techno.

When I was watching the trailer and the music started up, I kept thinking how wicked it'd be. I kept expecting to hear a guitar come in and just rip. But then again, I think a guitar would sound superb in ANY musical situation.

Then again, maybe I'll record the music from the trailer and do that on my own time... Hmmmmm.

Cool! I'll have to look for his CD, have you heard of Moby? if you have, he blends guitar and techno, as well as blues with techno, he's just about my favorite artist, EVER!! hehe

Yeah, my friend is really into Moby and I've heard it a bunch of times. Pretty cool stuff. Everytime I go to her place and she's playing it, I start getting musical ideas. Really annoying too since she doesn't have a guitar. :-(

Techno works for me because the first part of blade was the bomb!

Oh, I know! that was soooo cool! it gets you excited to see that movie when techno, or any other dance music for that matter, is played. Techno was played in the trailer, so it'll have to be in the movie, no doubt!.........I can't wait till the soundtrack!

well, I've tried just about everywhere to find Joe Satraini, but no luck, is there any where else that I might find his music?

Chinaman

Well, his name is Satriani, but fans know him as Satch.

Well, I'm in Canada, eh? so I'm not sure of what music stores you have in your area... A good bet is not to go to a wal mart. Tower Records?

If not, maybe Haunted is American and can provide some assistance... unless you want to buy it online.

I forgot to ask, you're looking it under Rock and not Dance or Techno, right?

Sorry for a month old reply, but hey, I just got here :)

Danny Elfman is definitely 'the man' for music in movies. I have watched a couple of movies based on the fact that he did the music. It has always amazed me how much it influences the picture.

Sam Raimi is a great director and I am very excited to find out he directed Spiderman. I am glad to see the duo together yet again along with some others that seem to always be by Raimi's side (or vice versa).

Can't wait!

I think Danny Elfman is one of the greatests music composers of the world. I really love "The Simpsons" theme and the real beauty of "Edward Scissorhands" is in its melanchonic music. I'm sorry for this stupid and short message, but I'm foolish. Tomorrow I'll be more specific (about director Sam Raimi too).
Goodnight.
