I'm sorry I think you don't understand the word invaluable. Webster defines invaluable as something extremely valuable; having value to great to measure; priceless. The tips and techniques in that book are still utilized even today and John Buscema was still doing comics till the day he died in that style and fashion. Of course there are many artists that don't use any sort of skill for proper storytelling in their art (Rob Liefeld comes to mind) and just try to do full page art. I been drawing for 30 years and I own the library copy of that book I checked out 25 years ago and still utilize that information. I know you may be young and certain words may escape your grasp of the English language, but use that book as the tool it was meant for and create something original using those techniques.

Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding. It is a really good book, and I have used the techniques I've learned from it.

Its easy to do, sorta. Just type a bunch of text inside of an image editor larger than the size of the image using what ever color you desire for the background. The background color will be what distinguishes the text, and i like to use a shade of black (with white font) so that the color stands out really good. Any neutral color will work the best in my opinion. Save the text as a bitmap image. Now open the original picture, and paste the text image on top of the colorized photo image using a transparent layer. The color you chose for the font will be the area you will call your image editor to make transparent. The font becomes transparent while the background remains, thus the colors within the image blend through the transparent areas of the text. Its easier than it sounds, and makes for some really nifty graphics. The hardest part is typing the words over and over again. Thank goodness for copy & paste! Its simple and fun to do once you get the hang of it. Oh, and here is a hint: The smaller the font, the better the image blends through the text, and the nicer the image looks in the end.
