You know I missed it when this thread actually showed real fan art and not some manipulation of an existing photo that someone else did and calling it their own. As far as the programs for the manips are concerned, if anyone on here wrote the program themselves and then utilized this tool, you have my respect because that takes a lot of code writing. So here's my challenge to all the members that post on this thread: Can you do something original without manipulation of someone else's art and only use the computer to enhance the image for visual pixelization? I like to be proven wrong...but somehow I don't think the "artists" have the ability.

Fan Posters and Fan Manips are a big part of these programs.

Posters are more realistic if you use promo images, not drawings.

Manipulation is an art of its own. It takes a lot of skill to make them. Just a simple edit can take days for some. Heres what the word manipulate means.

Better yet, art does not mean only drawings. It can mean anything. Your saying that it's only art if you make the program you used. Let me ask you this :

Hey what's going on with this thread? I know that some things don't seem like art, but what must be remembered is that things are borrowed all the time. When an artist is looking at a scenery and drawing that out, they're taking that idea for their own. Or when someone is concentrating on a new design, they look at other existing designs and usually take ideas from them. What makes art isn't how well someone can slap together a few pictures; it's the feeling you put into your artwork to show to others. I myself have grown up loving art all my life and these manipulations that people make, well, if they put time into it and concentrate why they made it and how they want to portray an picture, what are we to say that it isn't art?

You do know that there is a HUGE IMMENSE and IMMESURABLE difference between someone taking your manipped image and changing it even more into a new one, then someone reposting it as is and saying they did it.

Let's just say I've been doing art since before most of you were born. As far as using scenery in art it is how the artist interprets it and proceed to use those visuals. I'm not saying that drawing is the only form of art. It would be great to see some paintings or sculpture, but when you "manipulate" an already created image time spent doesn't matter since someone else had already used their time to create that image. Every image I've drawn or painted has come from my imagination or how I interpret existing subjects. There are things called reference materials that artists use in their pieces to produce a whole image. The use of computer programs to alter an image is not creative if even Suzy homemaker can do it. I love to stir up things and try to get people think about what what their doing. funny cuz they don't feel big. Seriously I have a major chest infection which basically makes just breathing perpetual agony. Every second of the day for the past week it feels like my lungs are going to explode from my chest.

So I'm feeling especially snappy at the moment.

I know. to give you an example of what I have to put up with for at least the next couple of weeks (according to my doctor)

let all the air out of your lungs, then hold it. keep holding it until your chest begins to ache as it fights for air and you have no choice but to take a deep breath.

well I feel like that all the time...even tho I am breathing.

No not really I used to love photobucket until it says my images are deleted when their not , I used to post them on here and they would disappear

Its not saying they are deleted it says your bandwidth's used up. That happens when people follow your images back to your photobucket to look at your picture.
To get around it password protect your photobucket so no one can get in. That's how mine never get bandwidth'd.
