I have heard several rumors that Spider-man 4 will be made. Does anyone have any news on this? Will spider-man be returning for a fourth movie?

Chances are that its more than likely. I think they are going to wait on the success of SM3. But raimi is keen. It sounds as if the story maybe set up for the fourth one. So I think you might be in luck

Raimi might end SM3 with the option to go on with a 4th movie, but they probobly won't touch SM4 for quite sometime. Who knows what they have planned.

Sony announced a while ago that there are 6 Spider-man films slated to be made. Whether Raimi and the original cast will be back is still up in the air. But Sony announced 6 films to be made.

no they didnt..... raimi said he would, and sony did say they would like to but there are manythings they have to take into consideration if they make those plans. If the actors want to return and the driectors and such. And if there is a quality script along with a large amount of success for SM3

Spiderman has the most villains and stuff, so realy 4 movies isn't enough, so they could make 4 instead of 3.

4 is already confirmed, considering hasbro has already spent $205 million on licensing royalties for the toys for spiderman 4. But they do plan on making 6

That Spider-Man has the most villains of any character in the Marvel universe. Likewise for Batman in DC.

Producer Laura Ziskin (not sure if I spelled that right) has said that the Spider-Man franchise will go up with 7 movies, 2 (SM 1+2)have which that have been seen, and 1 being completed now (SM3). To round this up, there will definitely be 7 Spider-Man movies. However, whether Sam Raimi, Tobey Maguire, and/or Kristen Dunst will be in all seven is unknown. Since Spider-Man 1 came out, Tobey Maguire has said that he had signed on for the first three movies, and is unknown of any plans after that. I guess we will just have to wait and see!

As long as they do not change Raimi I am totally fine and always looking forward to each and every Spidey movie. Of course I do realize that changing the current cast, especially Tobey, will be very sad but it will not stop me from watching even a 6th Spider-man movie while it's directed by Sam Raimi.

even though you can't replace sam raimi james cameron, peter jackson, and bryan singer directing it would make it a great film

yeah, if the director changed but all the actors signed on, id definitely see it
