I've gone to a few anime conventions, but never to a comic convention, myself. I read the Spider-Man comics and the "Runaways" series, but that's about it.

They released most fo there information about these movies at comic-con. Its a big chance for movie makers to promote there movie. They did it with Alfred Molina as Doc Ock. They showed that scene at the hospital at comic-con

I wish they do the same thing with THC. Better, would be if they'd do it with Grace, but I doubt they'll do that so...

I wonder with three villains, what would they show exactly? there is no way they are going to give us three clips from the movie.

I bet it will be the teaser trailer.

At Comic-Con there are film announcments, screenings and all sorts of comicy (is that a word?) stuff going on. It's turned into a media event - where new tv shows are launched like lost several years ago and invasion last year as well. and i've even seen stan lee wondering around the last couple of years as well. :) Oh and more storm troopers than you can imagine!

We (the Spider-Man network team) usually go and interview people at the event about Spider-Man and take photos. Here are some photos from last year:

Comic Con is pretty far away (No it is not) so why don't we all get exited for The E3 show instead?

Playstation 3
Nintendo Wii (They changed the Revolution name to Wii)
Xbox 360

Plus games like Marvel: Ultimate allicance and maybe Spider-Man 3. (a graphic demo, I hope atleast)
And for you who don't live in sweden: Battelfield 2142. Evereybody in sweden knows about it, some reporters have allready played it. And it isn't even Alpha yet.

Hobgoblin!

Wii? As in "Wheee"? Why don't the just call it that - the Nintendo Wheee! Or check Penny-Arcade's recent take on it.
I've sorta gotten out of videogames. I haven't had time to play them, they're sorta expensive, and my PS2 is on the fritz.

Of course I know that. ok lets say like this: 2 minutes of Halo 3. All xbox 360 gametrailers have been in-game fottage and so will probebly the Halo 3 trailer be. I just ment that we will get some facts about games that is going to be released to the console.

AnimeJune: Wii pronounced we. the 2 i's represents the controler. In wich way I don't know.
A great opening for their pressconference is:
Wii will, Wii will ROCK you.

A major joke on a swedish site.

EDITED: Now this will be a pretty long message. A just found it.

"Real people speak out about Wii

As a way of formalizing the "all my friends think Wii is [insert adjective here]" meme that's flowing through our comments system, we've set out three questions that will reveal what friends, relatives and strangers really think about the Nintendo Wii. All the people in this informal vox populi were shown a piece of paper with the word "Wii" drawn on it and asked:

* how they think it's pronounced
* what type of product they think it might be
* once they're told that it's the name of Nintendo's next-gen console, what their immediate reaction is.

Female, aged 30. From Hong Kong.

Q: How do you pronounce the name?
A: "Wee" (got it first time)

Q: What does this name make you think of?
A: A urinal? Candy? It's kind of trendy, kind of modern. Maybe a trendy urinal? Maybe a sporting goods product? Maybe something that goes fast, like rollerblades? Probably a product for little kid because it's simple and very simplistic.

Q: What if I told you it's for a games product?
A: Games are supposed to be complicated. I wouldn't have guessed that.

--------------------------------------------------

Male student, aged 19. Savvy gamer from Derby, UK.

Q: How do you pronounce the name?
A: Why? or Wee?

Q: Lets say this is a product of some kind. What type of product does it make you think of?
A: Possibly a shower gel or some type of cleaning product.

Q: It's actually the name of Nintendo's next-generation games console.
A: Yeah? But that name doesn't sound anything like a games console!

--------------------------------------------------

Female student, aged 19. Casual gamer from Sheffield, UK.

Q: How do you pronounce the name?
A: Weeeeeee!

Q: Lets say this is a product of some kind. What type of product does it make you think of?
A: Chocolate.

Q: What would you say if it's actually the name of Nintendo's next-generation games console?
A: Hmmm, I think it'd sound good as a chocolate bar.

--------------------------------------------------

Female student, aged 18. Non-gamer from near Coventry, UK.

Q: How do you pronounce the name?
A: Wee.

Q: Lets say this is a product of some kind. What type of product does it make you think of?
A: Nothing. It doesn't sound like a product of any kind.

Q: What would you say if it's the name of Nintendo's next-generation games console?
A: Oh right, well it sounds a little silly.

--------------------------------------------------

Female student, aged 18. Non-gamer from London, UK.

Q: How do you pronounce the name?
A: The same way you'd say why.

Q: Lets say this is a product of some kind. What type of product does it make you think of?
A: A no-name car audio CD player.

Q: What would you say if it's actually the name of Nintendo's next-generation games console?
A: Wiierd.

--------------------------------------------------

Male student, 18. Savvy gamer from Norfolk, UK.

Q: How do you pronounce the name?
A: Wee.

Q: Lets say this is a product of some kind. What type of product does it make you think of?
A: A product you say? A physical product, hint hint? Seriously, probably something to do with Wikipedia or some kind of athletics gear.

Q: What would you say if it's actually the name of Nintendo's next-generation games console?
A: Grrreat! [pronounced in a heavily sarcastic manner]

--------------------------------------------------

Male student, 19. Casual gamer from Lincoln, UK.

Q: How do you pronounce the name?
A: Wee.

Q: What does this name make you think of?
A: Japanese? It sounds small, maybe a gadget.

Q: What if I told you it's for a games product?
A: Yeah, that makes sense. It doesn't surprise me.

--------------------------------------------------

Male student, 19. Casual gamer from Birmingham, UK.

Q: How do you pronounce the name?
A: Like why.

Q: What does this name make you think of?
A: World War II, the name "will".

Q: What if I told you it's for a games product?
A: That's logical, but I think the two letter "i"s make it seem like it's roman numerals.

--------------------------------------------------

Female student, 19. Non-gamer from Hull, UK.

Q: How do you pronounce the name?
A: Wee.

Q: What does this name make you think of?
A: A cleaning thing.

Q: What if I told you it's for a games product?
A: Actually, yeah! That makes sense.

--------------------------------------------------

Female student, 19. Non-gamer from London, UK.

Q: How do you pronounce the name?
A: Wee.

Q: What does this name make you think of?
A: A cleaning agent.

Q: What if I told you it's for a games product?
A: Uh, it sounds "wampy". Stupid.

--------------------------------------------------

Male student, 19. Savvy gamer from Lincoln, UK.

Q: How do you pronounce the name?
A: Like why, I think.

Q: What does this name make you think of?
A: It sounds like a Chinese name or some sort of code.

Q: What if I told you it's for a games product?
A: I'd associate it with Wifi or a video game, not a console."

Not to keep us off topic but has anyone seen the graphics on it? I can find the same graphics on my gamecube. What im really hoping for is the remake of Final Fantasy 7 on PS3 and xbox 360. I didnt buy Final Fantasy XII for the 360 cause i heard it was awful. I did however buy Oblivion which is a lot of fun.

Poor marketing by Nintendo. Wii means so much different stuff in other countries. I get so mad with nintendo and what they make there games for. They have a great machine but insist on making the games and targeting a younger audience, but what they dont realise that the gamers generation ahve aged and the main market is the older 20yr olds who games since they were young playing there SNES or NES. They could do so much better

Venom289: I do have some contacts. Square Enix was not at first planing to make a remake. But after seeing how much the people liked the FFVII graphics demo they are thinking of it. There are with 70% sureness (uhm, you get what I mean) comming a remake. However, this information is not official.

Not me. I think I've grown out of videogames - and by grown out of, I mean now with my job and school, I have no time to play them and they're too expensive.

Plus, Wii? The Japanese don't even have a sound for "whee" (the only "w" sounds they have in their language are wa and wo). It sounds like they picked out random letters out of a hat and put them together.

Plus, four huge posters (like the Doc Ock one) of "SANDMAN" in his living sand-form, "GREEN GOBLIN II," a different "SPIDER-MAN" poster in his black costume and a hint of "VENOM."

This would bring the Comic-Con to its knees with excitement, truly making Spider-Man 3 Comic-Con's main event movie.

I do read (and love) the Ultimate version, but not everyone on the boards respects that version. No problem, you're entitled to your opinion, but it's my favourite comic.
