I dont know if Sam Raimi reads this page I doubt it as he has his work cut out for him what with editing the spider-man movie but it can hurt to post....
There has been some rumours flying around that the reason within the woods, Sam's super 8 classic has been pulled from the dvd of Evil Dead that will soon be released is because he does ot want people to see it , I dont beleive this truley as he seems friendly to all of his fans and his Evil Dead fans have stuck with him through thick and thin watching all of both he and Bruce Campbells movies.
This short film would have made a grand addition to any Evil Dead or Sam Raimi fans collection and I understand if he thinks it will hurt his credibilty but from what I have heard about it the short is great and it was when he was 18 in which he made it im sure no one in their right mind would judge him by this.......
It is his right, it is his film but I think maybe he owes his fans this one small favour for their support over the years and as if they would scoff at anything made by their 2 icons .....
at the end of the day with spider-fans moaning about organic webshooters and the like the Evil Dead fans are seeing this because it is a Raimi film and we will always support you....
as I said I dont beleive you had it pulled but IF you did I can understand your motives and they are very much your own rights in the matter but please for the fans sake let us see this short with the dvd .....if anything it shows that you are a better filmmaker and that your passion to make movies has been there for years
although he will probably never see this message we can still hope
