He's quite different, actually.
While Joker makes schemes and brings suffering to his victims, Carnage kills his victims at the moment he sees them. There's no second chance with him. That's why I like him.
Joker and Carnage met each other in a story once. We can see how different from each other they are.

yeah i actually read that issue with the batman and spidey crossover and that is true, carnage was actually getting really annoyed with joker right away.

No, Carnage would be immensely watered down to an almost child-like compound. Who the hell wants to see a sympathetic serial killer, that Sam Raimi would surely give us?

Would be, would be, would be. That's all you ever say. It's not set in stone that it will happen that way (in fact I find it unlikely. Besides, you cant get any worse than the censorship in the 90's series, and we all know THAT was bad)

Besides, that should be the least of your worries. Carnage has few things to offer storywise. I like him, dont get me wrong, but what good would he do in the movie?

A story about an alien enhanced human serial killer, who enjoys what he does, killing, and becoming an unstoppable force of nature, fearing no man nor his weaponry isn't really hard to write for. A villain that has New Yorkers horrified to go out at night, because of the constant news coverage about his handy work. A villain who Spider-Man himself is afraid of, because he knows that this villain's only purpose is to lay dead anyone he encounters. But you have to be willing to write the film on the level/combination of Zodiac and Predator or Aliens. If you don't think serial killers make great stories watch Zodiac.

This would actually be refreshing to the watered down, wussy and sympathetic villains we've been getting thus far. Who in Avi Arad's own words said...Spider-Man's villains are not really bad. Sometimes, you don't need a reason for a person to be bad or evil...he or she just is.

If they can't get Venom right, what hope is it for Carnage, whom is more vicious and deadly than he is.

The only time I enjoyed watching carnage in action was in the PS1 Spider-man game. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get my hands on a single Spider-man comic book from the 90's, so I never read anything like Maximum carnage. Spider-man:TAS was okay, but Venom ruled that one. Regardless, I don't want to see Carnage yet if they ever decide on redeeming the symbiotes in any way.

Oh man, I really want something like that.
I hope we can get it in Venom, at least.

Maximum Carnage was just a killing fest. It certainly could've been much more.
About redeeming the symbiotes...they did a great job in Spectacular Spidey, but I think a movie has a much bigger impact. I hope the Venom movie can redeem them all. It's their chance.

I agree. I hated the concept art for Venom in Spider-man 3(and the final visual product), but that new picture they have posted up at hype looks fantastic. Not that looks are the only thing that are in need of improvement, but it makes the anticipation more exciting.

I am abit confused on where people keep getting this Electro and Lizard idea, this isn't the first time I’ve heard this combination suggested, and was just wondering what exactly is the connection between these two that people think of them as working together in a movie
(it's not that i have anything against the idea, it's just not a combination that I would've thought of)

is there a storyline in particular that involved these two, that people are thinking of? (as I don't recall one, off the top of my head)

I agree Samny Boy wouldn't like a Serial Killer in his movie because Kids watch these movies I say its the parents responabilty to decide what their kids should and shouldn't watch.
But as a person Carnage is a freakshow even Zsasz is better than Carnage and thats saying a lot.

Like Carnage (and from what I learned in the AA game), he doesn't leave his victims alive and kills them at the chance. There's a moment in the game where a thug says ''no, that can't have been Zsasz. He never leaves his victims alive.''
But Zsasz is no better than Carnage. He ****s some of his female victims before killing them. Carnage just kills. What he likes is the terrified face his victims do before certain death. That's what fuels him.

Carnage's claim to fame is being a whack job who somehow got his hands on a symbiote which made him a even bigger whack job.

Without a symbiote Carnage would be nothing

Thats my point of view
