First of all, it's good to see that there's a new Azrael, even though he'll probably never be the equal of Jean-Paul. However, I'm not really hooked enough to really get into all of these new characters.

Second of all, what is the premise of Sirens? Because other than them all being women from Batman's rogues' gallery, I don't see that they have anything in common. Poison Ivy is sad, Harlequin is happy-go-lucky, and Catwoman is overconfident and serious. If they're trying to make them into heroes then Batman's rogues' gallery has very few females left and suffers from it. If they're trying to make them villains, then are we supposed to root against them?

well you should very well know that Ivy and Harley are like gal pals or whatever, ever hear of the phrase "opposites attract"? two people don't have to have the same personalities to be friends. look at batman and superman, batman and green lantern have an even bigger differences and yet they are still friends. well were, seeing how bruce died and all. still they are different and yet they can work together.

That's nice. You could have also just said like Batman (dour) and Robin (cheerful).

But you didn't answer my root question: is DC taking all the females out of Batman's rogues' gallery and turning them into heroes? Or is this Sirens title a villains book?

They switched the personalities with the new Dynamic Duo though.

I haven't been following Sirens, but I wouldn't say they're heroes, but just doing their own thing.

i finished Batman and Robin 1 and i liked it. i liked the feel between d!ck, Damian and alfred. plot was good and the art was great. Pyg as the villain was okay. Batmobile lloked cool. overall i liked it and will be picking up more. So far i've been reading batman a little same with detective comics but haven't read the rest. i'll try to catch up with most.

It just seems that Batman doesn't fight any females anymore since they started into Sirens. Remember when he used to fight Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Harleyquin, Lady Shiva, and Talia? Now they all just want to kissy-kissy. Bleh. The Batman rogues' need a strong female villain to put fear into Gotham again!

there has always been that sexual tension with Catwoman it was bound to happen and i'm open arms to it. as for talia i always remember her and bruce having a relationship thing from the start.

i haven't read sirens so i can't say if Ivy and Harley are good now, which i doubt or at least not completely.

yeah catwoman has been anti as well and bruce and talia did have a relationship i also don't think they went completely good

Bruce always does seem to go for the bad girl.
Talia did say she would be keeping an eye on Damian though, so we should see her coming up in a title soon.

But aren't you forgetting that it was Catwoman (Selina Kyle) who decided to have a baby with another superhero. NOT Batman. So now she's a single mom and she also broke the heart of her ex-boyfriend from between the two affairs, the detective guy who's always helping her out.

DC needs to go back to having an attitude of it's OK for some women to be bad. Magpie was a great villain before her death, and Poison Ivy was too, until this Sirens series trying to make her into an anti-hero or something. Lady Shiva even isn't bad all the time. They need to up their female quotient of ACTUAL bad girls.

Catwoman has never been a full time villain there has always been that tension between her and Batman to have her a complete villain is not who she is.

i just picked up a lot from the comic book store today mainly all of it on some of the batman reborn. i got batman and robin 2,3 and 4. Red robin 1,2,3,4. Batman 685,686,687,688,689,690. streets of gotham 1,2, and 3. It's a lot that i got but i was really behind since i hadn't bought a batman comic since the battle for the cowl series.
